Wilmer Flores has only been with Double-A Binghamton for four days. But after slotting into the middle of the Mets' lineup and the left side of the infield, it's like he's been in the Eastern League all year long.

New York's No. 6 prospect went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, two RBIs and a run scored Sunday to lead the Mets to a 7-5 road win over the Erie SeaWolves.

Flores raised his Eastern League average to .471 and has plated at least one run in all four games since he was promoted from Class A Advanced St. Lucie on Thursday.

The 19-year-old Venezuelan doubled to center field off SeaWolves starter Jared Wesson leading off the second inning and ripped a bases-loaded double to right field to plate two runs in the third.

Flores singled to load the bases in the fifth and completed his second four-hit game of the season by beating out a ground ball to third base in the seventh. Batting fifth and playing third base, he had a shot to record his ninth career five-hit game but bounced to shortstop in the ninth.

Flores' other four-hit game this year came in St. Lucie's 15-6 rout of Jupiter on May 1.

Signed by the Mets as a non-drafted free agent in 2007, Flores batted .289 with 10 homers and 42 RBIs in 64 games and was named MVP of the Florida State League All-Star Game prior to his promotion.

He started at second base for the World team at the 2009 All-Star Futures Game in St. Louis and is one of eight infielders set to represent the World team again at this year's event in Kansas City on July 8.

Pedro Zapata went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs in the victory. Ryan Fraser (1-0), Binghamton's third pitcher, gave up one hit over two innings to earn his first win of the season. Robert Carson recorded his sixth save, despite allowing an unearned run on two hits in 1 2/3 frames.

Jordan Lennerton and Nick Castellanos, MLB.com's No. 42 prospect, both collected three hits, including a homer, for the SeaWolves.
