The Hens' snapped their six-game losing streak with a 4-3 win in Indianapolis on Tuesday night.
The Hens trailed Indy 2-0 going into the sixth inning and it looked as if the Hens were going to drop their seventh in a row. The offense then responded with a big three-run inning to take the lead for good.
The Hens opened the sixth with three straight singles to get on the board after Matt Young knocked one in to cut the lead to 2-1. One batter later, Ryan Strieby singled in two more to take a 3-2 lead.
Jeff Baisley knocked in the Hens' fourth run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth.
Jacob Turner earned the victory after throwing six innings of six-hit, two-run ball. Closer Chris Bootcheck surrendered a run in the ninth to make it a one run game, but he managed to close it out for his 14th save off the year.
The Hens will look to make it two in a row tomorrow in the next game in the series against the Indians. Game time is 1:05 p.m. and Thad Weber is scheduled to take the hill.
Game Notes
- Jacob Turner dropped his ERA to 3.38 with the victory.
- Ryan Strieby reached the 50 RBI mark which is good enough for fourth in the league.
