The Hens had a flurry of doubles on the offensive end, but it wasn't enough as the Indianapolis Indians outscored them 9-6 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Hens' hitters combined for a season-high six doubles, including two from Jerad Head. Another one of the doubles came off the bat of Justin Henry, who extended his hitting streak to seven games and added three RBI in the effort.
Unfortunately for the Hens, the Indians had a great day offensively as starter Thad Weber was tagged for five runs over 2.2 innings. Rob Waite and Collin Balester each surrendered two runs in relief.
The Hens will look to rebound tomorrow in game three of the series against the Indians. Game time is 7:05 p.m. with lefty Andy Oliver scheduled to take the hill.
Game Notes
- John Lindsey went 1-for-3 with an RBI double for his first offensive output as a Hen.
- Thad Weber's 2.2 innings pitched was his shortest start of the season.
