Goody pitched in three games with the SI Yankees and allowed only one hit and one walk in 3.1 scoreless innings with five strikeouts and one save. He spent this previous college baseball season as a member of the bullpen at Louisiana State University and functioned as the team's closer. In 35 games, he was 1-2 with a 2.67 ERA and 11 saves. He walked just four batters and struck out 45 in 33.2 innings. Goody began his college career at State College of Florida in Bradenton, FL before transferring to LSU. He was selected by the Yankees in the 22nd round of the 2011 draft, but elected to attend LSU.
A 6-1, 195 lbs right-hander, Goody is a native of Orlando, Florida. He was a shortstop in high school before converting to a pitcher in college.
