The 23-year old picked up victories against the division-rival Iowa Cubs and Memphis Redbirds in his last two starts, allowing only one unearned run while striking out 12 batters in 12.2 innings.
In his first start of the week, Peralta matched a Sounds and personal season high with seven scoreless innings, striking out six in his 87-pitch effort. The 23-year-old allowed only one Cubs baserunner to reach second base and did not issue a free pass for the first time all season.
The Dominican recorded his second win five days later in Memphis, surrendering one unearned run while fanning six in 5 2/3 innings. He also scored and drove in a run while reaching base in both of his at-bats.
Peralta enters the Triple-A All-Star break with four victories in his last five starts (4-0, 1.82 ERA, 5er/24.2ip) from the hill and hasn't given up an earned run in his last 18.2 innings over his last three outings since June 22.
Overall this season, Peralta is 5-8 with a 5.10 ERA (51er/90.0) and 79 strikeouts in 18 starts. He began the 2012 season as the Milwaukee Brewers' top prospect as ranked by Baseball America and made his Major League debut for the Brewers on April 22 vs. Colorado.
Peralta's award is the second accumulated by a Sounds player during the 2012 season. Former Sound Brooks Conrad was previously awarded PCL Batter of the Week for the May 21-27 period.
The award is the third weekly honor of Peralta's seven-year career. He was previously honored by the Southern League last season and Midwest League in 2009.
