Homestand Highlights: August 18-26

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - With just nine regular-season home games left and a commanding division lead, the River Cats begin their final homestand on Aug. 18, during which fans will enjoy exciting promotions including Star Wars Night, Motorcycle Day, a Raley Field Fiesta, the Oktoberfest Pregame Block Party and Fan Appreciation Night. The River Cats will play host to the Las Vegas 51s (Triple-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) from Aug. 18-21 and the Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A Affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) from Aug. 22-26.

Star Wars Night - Saturday, August 18 (7:05 p.m.)
The River Cats have not joined the dark side of the Force, and neither should you. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a Star Wars Glow Saber. Members of the Galactic Empire will roam the concourse and be available for photos. Following the game, fans will be treated to a special Star Wars fireworks show presented by Sutter Health.

Motorcycle Day - Sunday, August 19 (1:05 p.m.)
Cruise up on your hogs, rev your engine and take part in a pregame bike parade on the Raley Field warning track. Dinger and the Cat Crew will also be decked out in riding gear.

Raley Field Fiesta - Friday, August 24 (7:05 p.m.)
Enjoy Latin music, salsa dancing and food and drink specials as the River Cats host a Raley Field fiesta. Supercuts will also be giving out free rally mohawks along the concourse during the game.

Oktoberfest Pregame Block Party - Saturday, August 25 (4-6 p.m. on Ballpark Dr.)
Cheers to the River Cats as we celebrate Bavarian style. During Raley Field's free Oktoberfest Pregame Block Party, fans will enjoy a live polka band on Ballpark Drive, as well as bratwurst and beer specials. So, pull those lederhosen out of the closet and get to the ballpark.

Fan Appreciation Night - Sunday, August 26 (6:05 p.m.)
River Cats players, coaches and staff will greet the best fans in baseball at the gate before the final home game of the regular season. Dinger and the players will be available for photographs and autographs, plus fans will also receive great prizes throughout the night.

The homestand will also include the following recurring promotions: Sutter Health Postgame Fireworks (Saturdays), U.S. Bank Sunday Funday with pregame autographs and the opportunity for kids to run the bases, Seniors Eat Free presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort (Monday, Aug. 20), Kids Eat Free presented by California Family Fitness (Tuesday, Aug. 21), Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday (Aug. 23), Toyota Family Value Friday with $1 hot dogs and $1 desserts (Aug. 24).
