LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Lakewood scored once in the 1st inning and didn't score the rest of the way as West Virginia took the final game of their three-game series against the BlueClaws Sunday evening.

Tim Carver led-off the game with a walk and eventually came around to score on a Maikel Franco RBI fielder's choice. Delmarva scored a run in the 4th inning to tie the game, a run in the 6th inning to take the lead and scored twice in the 9th inning to cushion the lead for closer Nathan Kilcrease's seventh save of the season.

Chris Duffy went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk to continue his hot hitting. Duffy is hitting .385 on the season including over .400 in the second half.

The BlueClaws are now 2.0 games in back of Hagerstown for first place in the South Atlantic League North Division. They are in 4th place behind the Power and Hickory Crawdads who are 1.0 game behind Hagerstown.

The BlueClaws travel to Salisbury, Mary. Monday morning as the Delmarva Shorebirds play host to Lakewood for the first of four games. Colin Kleven (5-7, 4.72) will battle Miguel Chalas (9-5, 4.97) in Game 1 of the series.
