08/06/2012 10:37 PM ET
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR- The Northwest Arkansas Naturals got a pair of home runs to defeat the Arkansas Travelers 4-0 on Monday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. The Naturals finished their seven-game road trip with a 5-2 mark, and return to Arvest Ballpark on Wednesday night.

The Naturals grabbed an early lead in the top of the third inning. Carlo Testa led off the inning with his sixteenth double of the season. He moved to third on a sacrifice bunt from Rey Navarro, and later scored on an RBI single by Alex McClure. The RBI was number six on the season for McClure.

Jarrett Grube kept the Naturals offense quiet after the third up until the seventh inning. Mario Lisson hit a two-out double to get things started. The Travelers then went to the bullpen summoning Buddy Boshers to get the final out of the inning. Testa had other ideas, blasting the sixth pitch he saw from Boshers over the right-field fence for a two-run home run. The home run was the fourteenth of the season for Testa.

Grube (0-2) went six and two-thirds innings for the Travelers allowing just six hits and two runs, while walking two and striking out six. Noel Arguelles (3-12) was brilliant on the mound for the Naturals. The left-hander threw seven shutout innings allowing just two hits while walking one and striking out five.

Brian Fletcher added an insurance run blasting a solo home run his eighth of the year to make it a 4-0 game in the top of the ninth inning. Ethan Hollingsworth worked the final two innings without allowing a hit to earn his second save of the season.

The Naturals will return home and open a three-game series against the Midland RockHounds on Wednesday night at 7:05 PM. The Naturals will send right-hander Michael Mariot (5-3, 3.21) against the RockHounds right-hander Sonny Gray (5-8, 4.21). The game can be heard on ESPN 92.1 The Ticket.
