The RockHounds took advantage of two errors by the Naturals in the top of the first inning to grab a 2-0 lead. Josh Horton delivered both runs with a two-run single.
Fletcher brought the Naturals right back with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning to make it a 3-2 game. The home run was the ninth of the season for Fletcher.
The RockHounds tied the game in the top of the second inning getting an RBI single from Anthony Aliotti. The Naturals retook the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning. Whit Merrifield and Fletcher each had RBI singles to make put the Naturals in front 5-3.
JC Sulbaran went four innings allowing four hits and three runs, in his first start at home for the Naturals. His counterpart Fabio Castro (1-4) went four innings allowing ten hits and five runs, while walking one and striking out four.
Ethan Hollingsworth (3-7) worked four innings in relief allowing one run to earn the win for the Naturals. Sam Runion worked a perfect ninth inning striking out the side to pick up his second save of the season.
The Naturals will open up a three-game series against the Frisco RoughRiders on Saturday night at 7:05 PM. Right-hander Sugar Ray Marimon (3-3, 3.35) will get the start for the Naturals against the RoughRiders right-hander Nick Tepesch (4-2, 4.02). The game can be heard on ESPN 92.1 The Ticket.
