Navarro, Naturals Rally in Eighth
Naturals overcome three-run deficit to win

SPRINGDALE, AR- The Northwest Arkansas Naturals rallied in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat the Frisco RoughRiders 4-3 on Monday night at Arvest Ballpark. The Naturals finished their six-game homestand with a 3-3 mark.

The RoughRiders jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a solo home run by Jurickson Profar. The home run was the fourteenth of the season for the RoughRiders shortstop. Frisco tacked on two more runs in the top of the fourth inning taking advantage of a pair of errors made by Mario Lisson to make it 3-0.

Justin Marks went three and a third innings in his return to the Naturals. The left-hander threw 58 pitches and allowed two hits and two runs, while walking two and striking out four.

The Naturals' offense got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI single by Carlo Testa. Michael Mariot (6-3) kept the Naturals close throughout. The right-hander worked four and two-thirds innings allowing four hits and one unearned run, while walking two and fanning four.

Yem Prades pulled the Naturals within one, when he drove home Carlo Testa with a single in the bottom of the seventh inning. Whit Merrifield followed suit with an RBI single of his own to tie the game at three. Rey Navarro put the Naturals in front for the first time, with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning that made it 4-3.

Sam Runion worked around a one-out single in the ninth to pick up his third save of the season. Ryan Rodenbaugh (2-5) took the loss for the RoughRiders allowing one run in one inning of work.

The Naturals will open up a three-game series against the Midland RockHounds on Wednesday night at 6:30 PM. Left-hander Mike Montgomery (2-3, 5.50) will get the start for the Naturals against the RockHounds left-hander Carlos Hernandez (5-4, 5.30). The game can be heard on ESPN 92.1 The Ticket.
