The game was supposed to be the final game of a four-game series, and the final meeting of the season between the two teams at NewBridge Bank Park. Lakewood won Games 1 and 2 before losing Saturday night's game, 9-4.
Lakewood and Greensboro remain in a tie for 4th place in the South Atlantic League North Division behind the Hagerstown Suns, Hickory Crawdads and West Virginia Power. The 'Claws and 'Hoppers will face-off August 31 - September 3 at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, N.J. in what will be the final four games of the regular season for both teams.
The BlueClaws return home to FirstEnergy Park for a seven-game homestand beginning Monday, with a three-game series against the Delmarva Shorebirds. Probable starters for Game 1 of the series are Hoby Milner (4-3, 2.82) for the BlueClaws and lefty Eric Wooten (2-2, 3.70 ERA) for the Shorebirds. Milner will look to continue his solid pitching of late which includes a streak of having allowed one earned run and a 3-1 record in his last four starts (22.2 IP, 0.40 ERA).
Just 11 home games remain in the 2012 regular season, so don't miss out on making it to FirstEnergy Park down the stretch! Tickets can be ordered by calling 732-901-7000 or by Clicking Here.
