The St. Lucie Mets have announced they are partnering with the Children Services Council of St. Lucie County to host Sundaes at the Park on Saturday, August 25 at Digital Domain Park.

The Sundaes at the Park event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids will have the opportunity to celebrate literacy with the St. Lucie Mets players and read to Slider.

Kids will receive free books from the Children's Services Council of Port St. Lucie as well as free ice cream sundaes courtesy of Wal-Mart.

All kids who attend the event will receive free admission to the Florida State league game played between the Mets and Charlotte Stone Crabs at 6:30 p.m. All parents will also receive a $2 discount on their tickets.
