Despite the loss, the bats of Pizzano and Henry stay hot.

The Appalachian League leading Elizabethon Twins topped the Mariners Thursday night at Historic Calfee Park, putting six runs on the board en route to a 6-4 victory.

Offensively for the Mariners, the red-hot bats of Dario Pizzano (3-4, 2B) and Jabari Henry (3-4, 2B, HR(8), 3RBI) continued rolling as they accounted for six of Pulaski's ten hits. Pizzano has batted a whopping .459 in the last 10 games earning 17 hits in 37 at-bats while putting up nine RBI's. Comparably, Henry has batted .411 in his last 10 games piecing together 14 hits in 34 at-bats and blasting three homers while collecting eight RBI's.

Despite outhitting the Twins ten to nine, Elizabeton's stellar defense and production hitting was too much for Pulaski to overcome. Twins starter Jose Berrios moves to 2-0 on the season while throwing five innings, giving up two earned runs, walking none, and striking out six Mariner batters.

The Mariners will play the second game of a three game home-stand against the Twins tomorrow, 7 p.m., at Historic Calfee Park. Make sure to come out to the ballpark and enjoy a great night of baseball with friends and family as this will be the last home series of the year!

WP: Berrios (2-0) LP: Ogando (2-3)
