In the bottom of the first Jackson starter Taijuan Walker retired the first two batters on four pitches, but then allowed two singles, a walk and 3-run double to C.J. Retherford. Chattanooga jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead.
The Lookouts made it 4-0 in the third inning on a solo home run by Luis Nunez, his 11th of the season.
Jackson finally dented the scoreboard in the eighth inning on a solo home run from Johermyn Chavez, cutting the deficit to 4-1. The homer was Johermyn's 8th of the season.
Generals' starter Taijuan Walker (7-9) lost his second straight start during the road trip and allowed 4 runs on 5 hits over 6.0 innings. Walker struck out 6 and walked just one. He retired 12 of the final 13 batters he faced. Forrest Snow and Mauricio Robles added a scoreless inning each after Walker. Lookouts starter Andres Santiago (1-1) picked up his first Double-A win allowing just a run on 3 hits over 7.0 innings Tuesday.
For the second straight day, no Jackson player recorded a multi-hit game.
The Generals return to Pringles Park Thursday to begin the final regular series home stand against the Jacksonville Suns. CT.
