Naturals Sweep Double-Header
Arguelles Throws Six Solid Innings

NORTH LITTLE ROCK - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals kept the offense rolling in Game 2 of the double-header defeating the Arkansas Travelers 9-2 at Dickey-Stephens Park on Friday night. The win gives the Naturals a split of the four-game series in North Little Rock.

Yem Prades put the Naturals on the board first in game two, in the top of the second inning. Prades singled to score Julio Rodriguez and Michael Liberto to make it a 2-0 game.

Kevin Kouzmanoff came through with an RBI single in the third inning to make it 3-0. The offense really broke open the game in the top of the fourth plating three more runs. Paulo Orlando drove in two of those runs with his sixth home run of the season to make it 6-0.

The Travelers' starter Eddie McKiernan (4-5) was chased from the game in the fourth inning. The right-hander went just three and a third innings allowing eight hits and five runs, while notching five strikeouts.

Casey Haertther ripped an RBI double in the bottom of the fourth to cut the deficit to 6-1. The Travs picked up another run on an error by Naturals' third baseman Michael Liberto to make it 6-2.

Mario Lisson knocked in two more runs with an RBI single in the top of the fifth inning. The Naturals would plate three total runs in the fifth to push the lead back to 9-2. Noel Arguelles (4-14) picked up the win working six innings allowing five hits and two runs, only one of which was earned, while striking out five.

The game was shortened due to rain after Ethan Hollingsworth came on in relief for the Naturals in the bottom of the seventh inning. The right-hander threw three pitches to Darwin Perez before the game was put into a delay and later cancelled.

The Naturals return home to open their last three-game homestand of the season on Saturday at 1:05 PM. The Naturals will take on the Tulsa Drillers. Left-hander Mike Montgomery (2-5, 6.40) will take the mound for the Naturals against the Drillers Brandon Hynick (6-3, 2.31) All of the action can be heard on NewsTalk 1030 AM KFAY.
