Torres, a native of Santa Cruz, CA, spent three seasons in Fort Mill with the Knights and is fifth All-Time in Knights franchise history with 249 strikeouts.
Torres played for Charlotte from 2008-2010 and was the International League's ERA leader in 2009 with an impressive mark of 2.39. That season, Torres posted a 10-4 record over 128 innings pitched. His 130 strikeouts that season ranked third and opponents batted just .207 against him - the lowest mark in the IL.
For his efforts in 2009, Torres was both a mid-season and post-season All-Star. After the season, he was named as the MiLB.com's Triple-A Starting Pitcher of the Year.
The 2010 season was his last in the White Sox organization and once again he was solid with the Knights. He earned IL Pitcher of the Week honors three times and was an IL mid-season All-Star. Overall, the former Kansas State standout went 9-9 with a 3.42 ERA over 27 games (25 starts).

He began the 2012 season in Triple-A with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and went 5-4 with a 3.98 ERA over 14 games (13 starts). He was promoted to Colorado and has since become a reliever for the Rockies.
From July 4-July 29, Torres did not allow a run in seven-straight appearances (12 innings pitched). Overall, he is 5-3 with a 5.47 ERA over 29 games for the last place Rockies.
