Louisville to host 2013 Promo Seminar

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The 36th annual Minor League Baseball™ Promotional Seminar, where the possibilities are endless regarding the types of ideas that will be discussed, is headed to Louisville, Ky., which touts itself as "Possibility City." The Louisville Bats will serve as the host club for the seminar from Sept. 24-27, 2013. Minor League Baseball president Pat O'Conner made the announcement today at this year's Promotional Seminar taking place in Reno, Nev.

Galt House Hotel, located just several blocks from the Bats, will house attendees and be the site of most of the seminar events. The hotel also hosted the 1992 Baseball Winter Meetings™.

"We look forward to working with the Louisville Bats and the Galt House Hotel in developing an outstanding Promotional Seminar schedule of events," said Tina Gust, MiLB vice president, business development. "The location of the hotel, relative to Louisville Slugger Field, and the number of attractions within walking distance of it, will provide attendees the opportunity to experience a lot of what the city of Louisville has to offer."

Hopefully everyone will get a chance to visit the Louisville Slugger Bat Museum, a can't miss for any baseball fan."

The MiLB Promotional Seminar provides sports professionals with a forum to engage in conversations and share ideas about improving their operations in sales and marketing, merchandising, operations, promotions and more. Other elements of the Promo Seminar in Louisville will include the selection of the third annual Golden Bobblehead Award winners, a welcome reception; cocktail party and silent auction, group therapy and around the horn sessions, ballpark outing at Louisville Slugger Field; trade show, and a MiLB Charities project.

The Professional Baseball Employment Opportunities (PBEO®) program will conduct a job fair onsite to allow clubs, leagues and exhibitors to post jobs, conduct interviews and hire candidates.
