The Richmond Flying Squirrels are excited to announce a FUNN new contest for kids! During the month of October, fans 14 and under can submit an essay on why they would like Nutzy the Flying Squirrel to come to their class's Halloween party. Nutzy will read each essay and select one lucky winner.

The winning fan will receive a one-hour visit from Nutzy to their classroom's Halloween party and a Flying Squirrels prize pack. Submissions will be accepted through October 24th, 2012. The winner and teacher will be notified by October 26th, 2012.

During the one hour visit, Nutzy will be available for pictures with the class, Halloween story time, and of course plenty of high-fives.

Please send all essays with student name, school name and teacher contact info to stefanie.sacks@squirrelsbaseball.com. Deadline for entries is Wednesday, October 24th!

Don't forget about SQUIRRELOWEEN on Sunday October 28th! From 2-6PM, come trick-or-treat through the Diamond for candy, crafts and pictures with your favorite mascots!
