![]() The fate of mascots Tennessee Tex and Tess may belong to Greeneville Astros fans.

The Astros are following the lead of their parent club in Houston by changing the club's logos, uniforms and color schemes beginning next season. The date of the unveiling of these changes will be announced later this fall.
In addition to the previously mentioned changes, the Astros are also asking for fan feedback on the team's mascots. Tennessee Tex has been the Astros' mascot since the club's inaugural season in 2004, and was joined by his sister, Tennessee Tess, in 2006. However, along with the other changes coming next season, the Astros would like to hear from fans about whether they want to see Tex and Tess continue to be part of the Astros or move forward with a brand new team mascot.
Fans may let their opinion be known through the Astros' poll question on www.greenevilleastros.com, or on the Astros' Facebook page, or on the Astros' Twitter page, or by calling the Astros at (423) 638-0411.
