Kyle Gibson, the Twins' No. 16 prospect fanned eight and allowed a run on six hits to improve to 2-0 as the Javelinas held on for their third straight win. Gibson missed most of the regular season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last September. Nick Franklin, MLB.com's No. 29 overall prospect, collected three hits and drove in a pair of runs and Donald Lutz (Reds) posted his fourth multi-hit outing in five games for Peoria. Royals prospect Alex McClure doubled twice, drove in two runs and scored twice out of the ninth spot in the lineup to pace Saguaros' 16-hit attack. Kolten Wong, the Cardinals' No. 4 prospect, continued his scorching start in the AFL by going 4-for-4 with two RBIs and Chris McGuiness slugged his third homer for Surprise. Rockies prospect Kent Matthes collected a pair of hits, walked twice and scored two runs for the first-place Rafters. Johnny Hellweg fanned and yielded one hit over two shutout innings and Corey Dickerson (Rockies) drove in a run and stole a pair of bases for Salt River.
