Spelius' contract extended
Midwest League president will exceed 25 years in office

BELOIT, Wisc. -- The Board of Directors of the Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs, Inc. voted unanimously to grant president George H. Spelius a 26-month term extension that will run through Dec. 31, 2014.
"It is a privilege and honor to serve as Midwest League president. I am extremely proud of our league, and its 16 member teams. I look forward to supporting their continued successes throughout the next two years."
Spelius has held the position of president of the Midwest League since 1987.
