Trout was a Texas League All Star during his 2011 season and played in 91 with the Travelers. Trout's 2012 season was simply incredible. He began the year at Triple-A Salt Lake then received a call up to the Angels in April, and blossomed into a bona fide star and a candidate for American League MVP with one of the finest rookie seasons in Major League history.
Richards appeared in 22 games for the 2011 Travs posting a 12-2 record and 3.15 ERA, earning Texas League All-Star status. He split time in the 2012 season between Salt Lake and the Angels where he made 30 appearances including nine starts. Richards held a 4-3 record and 4.69 ERA with the Angels in 2012.
Shoemaker became the first Travs pitcher since Bud Smith (2000) to win the Texas League Pitcher of the Year award when he finished 12-5 with a league-best 2.48 ERA and was the league strikeout king adding 129 punch outs.
