Wednesday is "National Philanthropy Day": a celebration of benevolent donations of time, talent and treasure from individuals and organizations whose lifetime or long-term achievements have made a significant impact on the WNY community.
Dandes serves as the Chair of the Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS) Donate Life Foundation as well as the Vice-Chair of both the Buffalo Zoological Society and the Eric County Medical Center Lifeline Foundation. He also serves on the Board of the Eric County Law Enforcement Foundation and the 100 Club of Buffalo. His is the immediate past Chari of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.
As president of Rich Baseball Operations, Dandes oversees the operations of the Buffalo Bisons, as well as the Northwest Arkansas Naturals of the Texas League and the Jamestown Jammers of the NY-Penn League.
About the Association of Fundraising Professionals The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is a membership organization for fundraising professionals. Their members serve nonprofit and philanthropic organizations that are seeking broad community participation and support. Founded in 1960, AFP serves more than 30,000 members representing over 207 chapters.
The Western New York Chapter, with membership of nearly 200 individuals, is proud of its local network and accomplishments. For nearly 15 years, they have held a November celebration of National Philanthropy Day which has grown to be one of the largest events of its type in the country. Through a series of luncheon programs, workshops and courses, they seek to extend the best practices of our profession to new and experienced professionals.
