GREENEVILLE, TN - The Greeneville Astros officially revealed the club's new uniforms, logos and color schemes for the 2013 season at a Launch Party held today at Pioneer Park. Astros' fans in attendance witnessed the club reveal a blue and orange color scheme, the same colors that will be worn by the Houston Astros.

MERCHANDISE SALES

The club's new on-field caps went up for sale at today's Launch Party and will continue to be sold at The Upper Deck team store, located at Pioneer Park. The new merchandise will be available during normal business hours, which are 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The club's new merchandise will also be made available for purchase online at greenevilleastros.com in the near future.

LOGO, HAT AND UNIFORM COMBINATIONS

Today, the club introduced two logos, three uniforms and three hats, which will be worn during the 2013 season.

The new Astros identity features a full star logo with a block letter 'G' in the middle of the star. The Astros home caps will feature this logo on a solid blue cap while the road caps will be solid orange. Meanwhile, batting practice caps will have the club's primary logo on a blue cap with an orange bill.

The Astros home uniforms will be white with blue lettering and orange piping. The road uniforms will feature an orange jersey with blue lettering and gray pants with blue piping. The club will also have a blue batting practice top with rainbow print down the side of the jersey.

TEX AND TESS RETURN AS MASCOTS

In addition to their new identity, the Astros revealed that Tennessee Tex and Tennessee Tess will be returning for the 2013 season. The sibling mascots will only be changing their wardrobe to match the club's new color scheme. The cowboy and cowgirl duo are recognizable figures among Astros fans in the Greeneville community. Tex became the Astros first mascot during the club's inaugural season in 2004 and was joined by his sister, Tess, in 2006.

The Greeneville Astros are the Appalachian League affiliate of the Houston Astros. The 2013 season will begin on June 20 at Bluefield and the club's home opener will be on Sunday, June 23 at 7:00pm against the defending champion Elizabethton Twins. Options to renew and purchase new season tickets are now available at the Astros Administrative office located at Pioneer Park on the campus of Tusculum College. Offices are open Monday through Friday from 9:00am-5:30pm. For more information on the Greeneville Astros, call (423)638-0411.
