Shea is a 2006 graduate of Clemson University who also earned an associates' degree from the Culinary Institute of Charleston.
Most recently, Shea was the catering chef at Tidewater Catering and also spent time at Triangle Char & Bar in West Ashley and at Halls Chop House in downtown Charleston. He also served as a personal chef during this time.
A native of Abbeville, SC, Shea placed first in the 2012 Food & Wine Festival's Brisket and Shoulder competition while also taking home first prize in the 2011 Pearlstine Competition Home Cooking category. He also earned a first prize in the 2011 Oyster Competition for his oyster Rockefeller.
"We are excited to have Joshua come on-board with our food & beverage division," said RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols. "Our fans have always enjoyed the great food and drink options at The Joe, and we're looking forward to continuing that tradition this year and beyond."
