FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne TinCaps are looking for the best Fort Wayne has to offer to sing the National Anthem at Parkview Field this season! The TinCaps are seeking talented individuals, groups, and instrumentalists to fill out the 2013 schedule.
"The turnout for auditions in 2012 gave us an opportunity to have a wide variety of talent throughout the season," said TinCaps Assistant Director of Marketing and Community Relations, Abby Naas. "We are excited about once again hosting auditions to see what new and unique talent we can feature at 2013 TinCaps home games."
This year the TinCaps are excited to announce a guest judge will be attending auditions. Lindsey Helmer-Kraner, creative director of the Vocal Power Academy will help pick out Fort Wayne's best talent to open all 70 TinCaps home games.
The team will hold tryouts during the coming weeks. To reserve an audition time, performers are encouraged to contact Keirsh Cochran at (260) 407-2828. The team is not accepting walk-up auditions. There is no guarantee that every performer who tries out will be accepted to sing before a game this season.
National Anthem singers for a Fort Wayne TinCaps game do not receive monetary compensation, but they are given four tickets to the game at which they sing and the chance to perform before a live audience at Parkview Field.
Tickets for the TinCaps' 2013 season are on sale now. Visit TinCaps.com, the Parkview Field Ticket office or call (260) 482-6400 for more information.
