STOCKTON, Calif. - For the first time in team history, the Ports will host a "Got Talent" Audition on March 9th. The event will take place at Banner Island Ballpark between 9:30-11:30a.m.
The Ports invite performers of all genres-singers, dancers, musicians and more- to attend the audition. Singers should come prepared to sing the National Anthem without music in front of an audience. Performers of other genres should be ready to present their talents. The Ports are seeking an array of talent to involve themselves, and the fans, in the fun of being at the ballpark.
No prior stage experience is needed.
If you are chosen to sing the anthem or be part of other entertainment at a 2013 Stockton Ports game, you will be contacted and assigned to a certain date(s) during the season. The first opportunity to one of the selected performers will be at the 2013 season opener here at Banner Island Ballpark on Thursday, April 4 at 7pm against Bakersfield Blaze.
"We are so excited to see the talent of our local community when we host National Anthem and Ports Got Talent Auditions," said Community Relations Manager Bailey West. "Stockton is such a diverse community and we want to showcase that at Banner Island Ballpark this season."
There will be no pre-registration.
Please contact Bailey at (209) 644-1953 or bwest@stocktonports.com with any questions. You can also visit our website at www.stocktonports.com for more information. Opening day is Thursday, April 4 at 7:05pm.
