SPRINGDALE, AR - Former Natural Louis Coleman earned his first win of Spring Training as the Kansas City Royals defeated the Texas Rangers 7-5 in Surprise, AZ this afternoon. Coleman pitched a scoreless bottom of the seventh and the Royals scored the game-winning run in the eighth inning on a Xavier Nady single. The Royals added an insurance run in the ninth as former Naturals catcher Manny Pina scored on a Brett Hayes single. 2012 Natural Michael Mariot closed out the Rangers in the ninth, striking out two batters to earn the save. The Royals scored four runs in the top of the first inning off of Texas starter Matt Harrison. Kansas City will welcome the Arizona Diamondbacks to Surprise on Monday at 2:05 p.m.
