Job Fair begins at 5:30pm at the Savannah Civic Center
Savannah, GA - The Savannah Sand Gnats will hold their annual Job Fair on Wednesday, March 6 in the Deveaux Room (located on the second floor) of the Savannah Civic Center. The Civic Center is located at 301 W Oglethorpe Ave. (intersection of W. Oglethorpe Ave. and Jefferson St.); the Job Fair will begin promptly at 5:30pm.
In 2012, the Sand Gnats employed more than 175 seasonal employees.
The Gnats will be looking for seasonal employees who can provide superior customer service in the fun, fast-paced atmosphere of Historic Grayson Stadium. The Sand Gnats begin their 70-game home schedule on April 4, and the season runs through September 2. Available positions include, but are not limited to: Ushers, Promotional Team, Concession Stand Managers, Cashiers, Cooks, Servers, Bartenders, Ticket Sellers, Ticket Takers, Vendors, Retail salespersons, Security staff and Promotions / video crew.
All food and beverage employees and managers must be eligible to apply for and obtaina Savannah Bar Card. "Our gameday staff is one of our greatest assets as we head into the 2013 season," said Gnats team President, John Katz. "From the time our fans park their cars until the time they make their way back out to the parking lot, our gameday staff meets, greets, assists and enhances the fan experience every step of the way."
All game-day staff will be subject to a background check. The Sand Gnats request that returning 2012 employees do not attend the job fair; returning employees, however, are required to re-apply at Historic Grayson Stadium by March 10, 2013. "We're excited to have a group of dedicated gameday staff returning for 2013," said Katz. "We do, however, always have positions available for outgoing, enthusiastic people that like to work hard and have fun."
