02/27/2013 10:05 AM ET

The Baysox 20th season at Prince George's Stadium is just around the corner. During the past 19 years, hundreds of players have come through Bowie - some have stopped in for just a few weeks and others have been here for years before moving on with their careers. During the offseason, check back to baysox.com to find out where some of those players are now.

Second baseman Greg Miclat was drafted by the Orioles in the fifth round of the 2008 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Virginia, where he had been named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American. In his first professional season, he played in 16 games with Short Season-A Aberdeen and hit .305 with seven RBI.

Miclat was promoted to Delmarva in 2009, where he stole 25 bases in 31 attempts but he struggled to shake off the rust from shoulder and arm injuries sustained in college with 25 errors on defense. He recovered quickly in 2010 with a break-out first half of the season with the Advanced-A Frederick Keys. He led all Carolina League shortstops with a .313 batting average and was named to the Carolina League Mid-Season All-Star team before being promoted to Bowie.

In 62 games with the Baysox in 2010, Miclat hit .246 with 35 runs and 16 RBI. Miclat returned to the Baysox in 2012 as the team's everyday second baseman. He quickly became one of the most feared baserunners in the league, as he stole a team-high 50 bases in an incredible 53 attempts. Miclat also led the team in runs scored (78) and walks (54), despite missing the last week of the season due to a hand injury.

At the end of the 2012 season, Miclat was traded to the Texas Rangers as part of the deal that brought catcher Taylor Teagarden to Baltimore. He hit .257 in just 37 games with Triple-A Round Rock while also suffering a wrist injury that shortened his season.
