Cedar Rapids, IA - Come celebrate the Kernels new affiliation with the Minnesota Twins when Cedar Rapids Kernels host the sixth annual Spring Fling on Saturday, March 16th at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium from 10 am until 2 pm.

The Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop opens for the 2013 season and fans can preview the new Kernels merchandise and save on selected souvenir items.

Kernels play-by-play broadcaster, Morgan Hawk, will do live broadcasts during the event on the radio home of Kernels baseball, 1450 AM and 93.1 FM KMRY.

The main concourse will be open (weather permitting) so fans can preview the Arctic Insulation Party Plaza in right field and Plumbers and Pipefitters Pavilion in left field and play on the inflatable games in the Kernels Kids Zone. Stadium tours are available and free popcorn and drinks will be served in the Diamond Shop. Representatives from the Kernels Booster Club will be on hand to answer questions and sign up new members.
