The Buffalo Bisons (1-4-1) collected their first Spring Training victory on Monday afternoon with a 4-0 shutout win over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
1B ADAM LOEWEN went 3-4 at the plate with his first home run of the spring. The slugger drove in a run and scored twice himself. Loewen has averaged .375 (6-16) with six runs scored in five games with the Bisons this Spring.
DH KENNY WILSON also got on base three times Monday, going 1-2 with a triple, two walks and two runs scored. The Bisons outhit the RailRiders, 8-4.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre changed their nickname this past off-season to the 'RailRiders.' The club had been named the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees since becoming the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees following the 2006 season.
There are just 18 days until Opening Day at Coca-Cola Field, Thursday, April 4 against the Rochester Red Wings (2:05pm). All tickets and ticket packages for the 2013 season are on sale now at Bisons.com.
