04/01/2013 2:15 PM ET

PLAYER LIST FOR 4/2

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced on Monday a list of players who are expected to be at ARM & HAMMER Park for the team's Media Day and Welcome North Open House tomorrow. The list includes seven of the Yankees' Top 30 prospects according to Baseball America and 14 players who were on the Thunder roster in last season's Eastern League Championship Series.  Please note that this list does not constitute the team's opening day roster, as that will be determined by the Yankees sometime before the first game.

Outfielders Slade Heathcott (#2 on the Baseball America list) and Tyler Austin (#4 BA) are expected to be joined by Yankees 40-man roster member Ramon Flores (#12) to form one of the most exciting young outfield units in the minor leagues.  Catcher J.R. Murphy (#15 BA) is expected back for his second season behind the plate for Trenton.

The list of pitchers includes three left-handed starters: Nik Turley (#14 BA) and Francisco Rondon, each members of the Yankees 40-man roster, and Matt Tracy (#26 BA).  Kelvin Perez, an Eastern League All-Star with the Thunder last year, and Tommy Kahnle (#28 BA) are expected to be key members of the Trenton bullpen.

The Thunder begin the season on a seven-game road trip starting Thursday night with the first of a four-game series at Portland. The starting rotation for the series and opening day roster are expected to be announced in the next couple of days.  Broadcast coverage for Thursday night's opener begins at 5:45 pm and can be heard on 91.3 FM (WTSR) and online at www.trentonthunder.com.

The home opener is scheduled for Thursday, April 11 at 7:05 pm against the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Limited tickets are available by contacting the box office.
