ADELANTO, Calif. (April 3, 2013) - The High Desert Mavericks will soon welcome their fans back to Mavericks Stadium for another baseball season, and they will extend their hospitality with weekly promotional specials on tickets, concessions and giveaways to set the stage for affordable, family-friendly fun all season long.
Among the new weekly promotions are Flat Screen Family Sundays - when the Mavericks will give away two 32-inch Flat Screen TVs at each Sunday home game - and fireworks shows that will follow every Saturday home game and the Fourth of July Thursday night game.
"Every day of the week now offers our fans a reason to come to Mavericks Stadium for great value and unique promotions," said Mavericks owner Dave Heller. "With fireworks, free flat screen TVs, and special discounts on food, drinks and tickets, Mavericks fans will be treated to memorable experiences every night at the ballpark."
The week is full of new concession specials, ticket discounts, and unique themes.
Every Monday is Lunes de Locura (Monday Madness) presented by El Portal 95.9FM, with $3 drink specials and $2 off nachos at the concession stands.
On Tuesdays the Mavericks will offer Twosday deals presented by O'Douls with 2-for-1 tickets, $2 concession items. Fans can also win tickets on the Mavericks' Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HDMavs.
Wednesdays will give kids a great deal, as every child 12 and under will receive a voucher for a free hot dog and soda at the ballpark thanks to The Daily Press.
Beginning with the home opener April 11, the Mavericks will host Thirsty Thursdays brought to you by Skidmark's Roadside Grill, when fans can purchase $3 craft and import beverages, $2 domestic drafts and $2 sodas.
To round out the food specials, Friday is Family Feast Night presented by Ebmeyer Charters with $1 hot dogs and $1 sodas all game long.
Saturdays will include postgame fireworks, as well as a special theme for each game.
Sundays will then feature the flat screen TV give-aways. Every Flat Screen Family Sunday is also a Senior Sunday sponsored by Desert Valley Hospital, when seniors 55 and better can purchase buy-one-get-one free tickets.
"The Mavericks are excited to be offering a great new set of deals to fill every week of baseball this season," said Mavericks General Manager Cory John. "Every night at Mavericks Stadium will be a unique experience of affordable, family-friendly entertainment."
The Mavericks' new food and beverage specials will take the place of all previous offers on food and beverage, including the refillable beer pitchers, at Mavericks Stadium.
For the 2013 season, the Mavericks box office is open at 9 a.m. every week day and 10 a.m. for weekend home games. Two hours before first pitch of each game, the parking lot will open for fans to park for a flat rate of $2 for the entire game, though with each paid parking fee comes $2 in "Mavericks Money" - coupons good for food, drink, merchandise or tickets to a future game. Ticket windows will also open two hours before first pitch, and gates will open one hour before the start of every home game.
The Mavericks open the 2013 season at Lancaster Thursday, April 4, and play their home opener Thursday, April 11, against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at Mavericks Stadium. The home opener will be a Thirsty Thursday and include a magnet schedule giveaway.
