Date Set for 10th Annual Conquer the Coast
South Texas' Premiere Cycling Event is Sept. 21, 2013
04/09/2013 6:47 PM ET

CORPUS CHRISTI - Conquer the Coast, South Texas' premiere cycling event, returns for its tenth year on Saturday, Sept. 21.  The event, hosted by the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, has grown steadily each fall with a record 1,461 cyclists participating in one of the three rides last year.

The 10-mile cruise, 25-mile ride and 65-mile ride all start and finish at Whataburger Field. The 65-mile tour leads cyclists over the 138-foot-high Harbor Bridge to Portland, Ingleside, Aransas Pass and to Port Aransas where riders may have a chance encounter with a dolphin or two while riding the ferry. The route continues through Mustang Island and then to breathtaking views of Ocean Drive and Corpus Christi Bay while heading back to Whataburger Field.

The family friendly 10-mile cruise and 25-mile ride are just as captivating and rewarding with riders taking off at Whataburger Field riding towards Shoreline down Ocean Drive and back to Whataburger Field.

Proceeds generated by the 10th Annual Conquer the Coast benefit the Corpus Christi Chamber Foundation, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Athletic Fund and various cycling organizations throughout the Coastal Bend.

Early bird registration pricing is available right now with savings of up to $20 on the 65-mile ride and $25 on the 25-mile ride.
