Josh Stinson allowed one unearned run in 6.2 strong innings to pitch the Tides past the Gwinnett Braves 2-1 Sunday afternoon at Harbor Park.

Stinson (1-0), who was making his second appearance with the Tides after the Orioles claimed him on waivers from Oakland on April 4, allowed just three singles in the outing to help the Tides complete the two-game series sweep.  Stinson walked three and struck out three while facing just one batter over the minimum over his final five innings of work.

Trailing 1-0 in the fifth, the Tides knotted the score off of starter Yohan Flande on an RBI single by Jason Pridie.  Pridie has now hit .462 (6-for-13) with two home runs, four RBI and six runs scored over his last three games.

Norfolk took the lead in the sixth inning off of reliever David Carpenter (1-2), as Russ Canzler led off the frame with a triple to centerfield before scoring on a sacrifice fly by Danny Valencia.

Alex Burnett and Scott Proctor recorded the final seven outs of the contest, with Proctor pitching the ninth to earn his first save of the year.

The two clubs will continue their six-game home-and-home series Monday night in Gwinnett, with first pitch from Coolray Field set for 6:05 pm.  Zach Clark (0-1, 5.19) will get the start for Norfolk against left-hander Sean Gilmartin (1-0, 3.00).  Monday's contest is the first of a season-long 12-day, 11-game road trip.
