John Hicks (1x4, 2RBI, R) followed with a double that scored Jones and it was 2-0. The third run of the second inning came on an RBI groundout from Abraham Almonte (0x2, RBI) that scored Hicks.

Leading 3-1 in the third inning Jackson's Jones added his second RBI on the night with a single to center scoring Brad Miller (1x5, R). That was followed by a Hicks RBI groundout and Jack Marder (1x3, RBI) RBI infield single that plated Jones. Jackson took a 6-1 lead.
