Rays Minor League right-hander Jose Disla was suspended 50 games without pay Friday after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol and Nandrolone, performance-enhancing substances, in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension was announced by the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball. Disla, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Rays, is effective at the start of the DSL season.
The 17-year-old has yet to make his professional debut. He's the 17th player to be suspended this season for violating the Minor League drug program.
