Jabari Henry hits two home runs in win

Clinton, IA - LumberKings centerfielder Jabari Henry launched a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the first inning and followed it with a three-run blast in the second inning to lead Clinton to a 10-5 win over Dayton at Ashford University Field on Thursday. 

Henry, who entered the night hitting .397, is leading the Midwest League in hitting and currently owns a seven-game hitting streak. During the streak he is hitting .514 (18-for-35) with 12 runs, 14 RBIs, 12 BB's and 5 2B's. 

Clinton used a five-run fifth inning to break open the game. With a 10-0 lead, LumberKings starter Matt Anderson cruised through six innings and picked up his first win of the year. The only runs he allowed came on a two-out, two-run homer by Nick O'Shea in the sixth inning.

Tim Lopes and Patrick Kivlehan joined Henry with multi-hit games. Kivlehan (2-for-3) extended his hitting streak to eight games and Lopes (2-for-5) extended his to five games. 

Gaby Guerrero had a two-run single in the fifth inning and has knocked at least one run in each of his last six games.

The two teams play the rubber match of the three-game series on Friday night at Ashford University Field. Clinton sends right-hander Dylan Unsworth to the mound against Dayton right-hander Pedro Diaz. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 PM CT.
