Affordable family fun, an award-winning promotional schedule, and future Major League Baseball stars return to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park next Monday, June 17 when the State College Spikes, affiliates of the St. Louis Cardinals, open the 2013 season with a 7:05 p.m. game against the rival Williamsport Crosscutters (Philadelphia Phillies).

Opening Night for the Spikes 38-game summer schedule will feature the club's "Millionth Fan Celebration", and the franchise will honor one random fan in attendance that night with an amazing prize package, the lifetime distinction as the team's millionth fan, and the opportunity to take home one million dollars!

The designated millionth fan will be selected at random prior to the post-game fireworks show and be invited onto the field to be recognized and take part in a million dollar dice roll. If each of four giant inflatable dice land in the same spot, that person will win one million dollars! Even without taking home a million bucks, the winning fan will win season tickets for life, their own official team jersey, and an additional memorabilia and prize package.

The Spikes 2013 Home Opener is presented by PSECU and 95.3 FM 3WZ.

Single-game seats for Spikes Opening Night -- and all 38 home dates -- are currently on sale through the Spikes Box Office and online at State College Spikes.com. Fans can visit the Box Office in person weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or call (814) 272-1711. Fans purchasing online have the ability to print their tickets using a home computer and printer.
