05/22/2013 1:26 PM ET

The Tulsa Drillers announced today that the team was donating $10,000 to the tornado relief efforts on behalf of those who were affected by this week's storms in Shawnee and Moore, Oklahoma. The donation will be made to the American Red Cross.

The team also announced plans to hold silent auctions at Friday and Sunday games that will also benefit victims. Auction items will include lunch and golf outings with members of the team, plus autographed and game-used memorabilia from the Drillers, their parent club the Colorado Rockies as well as items from other Texas League clubs and their major league affiliates.

"It is tragic what has happened to the residents of Moore and Shawnee," said Drillers General Manager Mike Melega. "We truly hope that our efforts can provide a small amount of comfort and help for some of the victims."

During the games on Friday, May 24 and Sunday, May 26, fans at ONEOK Field will also have the opportunity to pledge relief dollars based on the number of hits the Drillers achieve during those games. Pledge cards will be available from ushers and Guest Services.

Auction items that will be available include:

Lunch at the Brady Tavern with Drillers Development Supervisor, Duane Espy and a player

Lunch at McNellie's with Drillers Manager, Kevin Riggs and a player
