FAN GUIDE - Star Wars Night
Everything you need to know for the must-attend event
06/14/2013 12:22 PM ET

The Bisons 6th Annual Star Wars Night, presented by Alfred State College, is Saturday, June 22 as the Bisons host the Durham Bulls at 6:05 p.m.

The event is one of the marquee summer events at Coca-Cola Field. With that in mind, here is a fan guide to the night to make sure you don't miss a single thing! Because let's be honest, not all of us have the power of the force!

First Pitch/Gates
Note that the Bisons have a special first pitch time of 6:05 p.m. for the start of the game against the Durham Bulls. Gates will open at 5:00pm.

If you plan to use ballpark Will Call, it's also not a bad idea to leave a few minutes earlier to avoid longer lines at the box office.

Where do I get a laser sword?
A must-have keepsake on Star Wars Night is your very own Laser Sword. New this year the Bisons will be selling laser swords outside of the Coca-Cola Field prior to gates opening to provide an additional laser sword location. Once you are inside the ballpark, we will once again have two redemption locations at stand 121 and "Luke & Ollie's' above the Washington Street gate. Each Laser Sword flashes three different colors to avoid the need to choose a color and also makes noise based on movement. They cost $7 each with proceeds to benefit the American Heart Association.

I bought a 4-Pack. Where do I get food?
Avoid lines at the concession stands and use your food coupons at a pair of redemption centers. You can get your hot dog and Coca-Cola in the concourse area near the Washington Street Gate, section 119 on the third base side and 120 on the first base side and on the club level near section 211.

Jersey Auction/Raffle
For the 4th consecutive year, the Bisons players will wear custom one-of-a-kind Star Wars jerseys during the game. With an all new Bisons' Star Wars Logo featuring the Death Star and Jedi Buster Bison, these uniforms will be autographed by each player as soon as they come off the field after the game. Some of the jerseys will be available via blind auction, while others will be part of an auction with raffle tickets just $10. Proceeds of both the auction and the raffle will benefit the American Heart Association. Make your bid outside of Section 110 near the New Era Team Gift Shop. You can also test your luck and help fight heart disease by entering in the American Heart Association's 50/50 raffle at the Jersey auction table or see volunteers around the stadium.

Meet the Characters
Close to 50 Characters will be appearing throughout the night and will be available for pictures at the Washington Street gate. Darth Vader will only be available from the 2nd inning to the 6th inning so be sure to plan accordingly.

What's Darth's Twitter Handle?
Make sure you follow the Bisons on Twitter @BuffaloBisons. The team will run a contest in-game for a special meet and greet with Darth Vader.

Where's the Wookie?
Want to meet Chewbacca? The Bisons will post 'Chewy's' location on their official mobile app during the game. Download the app for FREE for your iPhone or Android device and get your best wookie roar ready!

The Saga Continues…
The final chapter of the first trilogy will be completed as the Sith have taken over Coca-Cola Field after their capture of Master Luke Skywalker in 2012. However, the Jedi are looking to infiltrate the ballpark and regain control of Coca-Cola Field. Follow the action between innings on the BisonsTV HD scoreboard and get ready for an amazing on field battle after the game.

Fireworks
The night doesn't end until an amazing post game fireworks show. With the battles set between the Bulls and the Bisons and then the Rebel Alliance and the Sith, you can only end the night with some fireworks.
