06/25/2013 12:28 AM ET

(Volcanoes Stadium - Keizer, OR) - A bases loaded single from Salem-Keizer's 1B Jon Jones in the bottom of the 10th inning helped the Volcanoes to a 1-0 victory over Vancouver on Sunday evening.

Canadians RHP Eric Brown was spectacular over his seven innings of work limiting the Northwest League's top offense to just a pair of hits while striking out eight before handing the ball to the Vancouver bullpen. Brown was matched nearly pitch-for-pitch by Volcanoes starter RHP Chris Johnson would went six scoreless innings, striking out six on the night.

Pitching would continue to take center stage on the evening as RHP Matt Johnson helped the Canadians get to extra innings with two scoreless only to watch as Salem-Keizer relievers RHP jake Shadle (2.0IP) and closer RHP Raymundo Montero (2.0IP) held Vancouver off the scoresheet over the remaining four innings.

In the bottom of the 10th inning, Canadians manager Clayton McCullough summoned RHP markus Brisker who walked leadoff hitter SS Brandon Bednar who advanced over to third base on a hard hit single to right field off the bat of 3B Sam Eberle who hours earlier had been named NWL Player of the Week. After an intentional walk to load the bases, Brisker would allow a walkoff single to 1B Jon Jones (Calgary, AB) to score the game's only run and give Salem-Keizer a second straight victory over Vancouver.

With the loss, Vancouver falls to 6-5 on the season while Salem-Keizer improves to 7-4.

The Canadians now travel to Spokane to open a three-game series vs. the Indians starting on Tuesday, June 25th at 6:35pm. Vancouver will send LHP Kyle Anderson (1-0) to the mound in the series opener.

Vancouver Canadians Baseball returns to Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium on Friday, June 28th at 7:05pm as the C's host Tri-City (June 28-30) and Everett (July 1-3).
