Triple-A Baseball announced that the 26th annual Triple-A All-Star Game will be televised live on MLB Network Wednesday, July 17 at 6 p.m. PDT. The announcing team of Paul Severino, Darryl Hamilton, Jim Callis, and Sam Ryan will bring the action to viewers nationwide. The Game will also be available to MiLB.TV subscribers live on MiLB.com, the official website of Minor League Baseball. The American Forces Network will also showcase the event, bringing MLB Network's telecast of the Triple-A All-Star Game to the U.S. Armed Forces stationed outside the contiguous United States on U.S. military installations and aboard U.S. Navy ships at sea.
The 2013 Dolan Auto Group Triple-A All-Star Game, presented by Reno-Tahoe USA, Gildan, and Harrah's Reno, will take place at Aces Ballpark in Reno, Nevada, home of the Reno Aces. While the Game has been telecast nationally for most of its 26-year history, including every season since 1995, this will be the fourth time the Triple-A All-Star Game has aired on MLB Network since 2010.
Returning for a second straight year handling play-by-play duties on the telecast will be Paul Severino who regularly hosts the Emmy Award-winning "MLB Tonight". For the past two years, Severino provided play-by- play for three Arizona Fall League game telecasts on MLB Network, including the 2012 and 2011 Rising Stars Games and Championship Games.
13-year Major League outfielder Darryl Hamilton will serve as analyst. As a player, Hamilton was a career .291 hitter who was a part of four playoff teams including the 2000 National League Champion Mets. His previous experience in broadcasting includes roles as an analyst on Compass Media Network's radio broadcasts for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, NBC Sports Network's "SportsTalk" and KPRC (NBC) Houston, as well as MLB.com from 2003-2006. He currently appears across MLB Network's programming as a studio analyst.
Joining Severino and Hamilton in the booth will be Jim Callis, the Executive Editor of Baseball America. Having covered the game for over 25 years, Callis is a regular contributor to the annual Baseball America Almanac and Baseball America Prospect Handbook.
The Emmy-Award winning Sam Ryan will serve as field reporter for her second consecutive Triple-A All-Star Game. The MLB Network studio host and reporter frequently appears on programming such as MLB Network Showcase game telecasts, "MLB Network Strike Zone" and "Quick Pitch".
Ryan Radtke, play-by-play voice of the Reno Aces, and Howard Kellman, broadcaster for the Indianapolis Indians, will call the action for this year's broadcast on the Triple-A All-Star Game Radio Network. Radtke is in his 11th season as a broadcaster for the Diamondbacks' Triple-A affiliate, after joining the Tucson Sidewinders broadcast booth in 2003. Radtke also broadcasts University of Nevada Wolf Pack football and men's basketball games. Kellman in is his 36th season as "Voice of the Tribe" and has broadcasted over 5,000 Indians games. He was inducted into the Indiana Sports Writer Hall of Fame in 2009 and will be calling his third Triple-A All-Star Game.
