Leading by a pair of runs entering the sixth, the Keys' bats exploded for four more runs. Christian Walker led off the sixth with a double to left-center. Allan de San Miguel followed up with a single. After Jason Esposito popped out to first, RF Brenden Webb walked to load the bases. With one out and the bases loaded, Brandon Cunniff entered out of the Hillcats' bullpen. SS Sammie Starr drove in the first run of the inning with a sacrifice fly to left field. Two batters later, Johnny Ruettiger hit a two-run single to center field. Jerome Pena finished off the four run inning with a RBI single to right field.

In his 16th start of the season, Zach Davies allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out four Hillcats. Davies picked up his fifth win of the season and his first since May 25th. RHP Miguel Chalas closed out the game with a two scoreless frames.
