Carlos Martinez gave up a run and scattered six hits over 5 1/3 innings Friday night, pitching Memphis to a 6-2 victory over Nashville. The Cardinals' No. 2 prospect boasts a 1.98 ERA over 41 innings in the Pacific Coast League.

Jamie Romak and Jermaine Curtis slugged back-to-back homers in the fourth to give the Redbirds a 3-1 lead.

Zach Walters went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs in Syracuse's 5-0 blanking of Lehigh Valley. The Nationals' No. 13 prospect also doubled and ranks fourth in the International League with 19 homers.

Caleb Clay picked up his second win for the Chiefs after limiting the IronPigs to five hits while striking out five over seven innings.

Juan Nicasio gave up five hits over eight innings for his first win of the season as Colorado Springs whitewashed Reno, 5-0. The Major League veteran struck out six and has yielded just one run over 11 innings since reporting to Triple A.

Greg Golson had two hits and two RBIs for the Sky Sox, while Ryan Wheeler doubled, singled, scored twice and drove in a run.

Brandon Workman scattered five hits over 6 1/3 innings but did not figure in the decision as Pawtucket dropped a 1-0, 10-inning decision at Rochester. The Red Sox's No. 16 prospect walked two batters and struck out five to lower his ERA to 2.80.

Liam Hendriks matched Workman for six innings and Jeff Clement delivered a walk-off single for the Red Wings.
