New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats, in conjunction with the Eastern League of Professional Baseball, today announced two changes to the Eastern Division roster for the 2013 Eastern League All-Star Game presented by Dunkin' Donuts that will be played on Wednesday, July 10, at 7:00 PM at New Britain Stadium.

New Britain Rock Cats left-handed relief pitcher Edgar Ibarra and New Hampshire Fisher Cats right-handed starting pitcher Marcus Walden have each been added to the Eastern Division roster. They are being added to the roster in place of New Britain right-hander A.J. Achter and New Hampshire left-hander Sean Nolin, who are unable to play in the game.

The July 10th 2013 Eastern League All-Star Game presented by Dunkin' Donuts is the centerpiece of a wide range of related events intended to entertain the baseball-savvy fans and families of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts next month. The extensive festivities kick off on Friday night, July 5th, at Bushnell Park in Downtown Hartford when, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, the Rock Cats have partnered with the City's MECA staff to present an outdoor All-Star Fan Fest that will entertain fans with music, arts and crafts activities, food and drink vendors, fun inflatables, a vintage baseball game, and more. Once the sun sets, everyone at the All-Star Fan Fest is invited to get comfortable on the Bushnell Park grass and enjoy a baseball-themed movie under the stars. All Fan Fest activities are free.

On the eve of the July 10th Game, the League's top sluggers will gather on the New Britain Stadium diamond to compete in the 2013 Home Run Derby presented by the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain. This exciting skills competition will be MC'd - live and on-the-field - by two well-known ESPN personalities - Baseball Analyst Doug Glanville and Sports Anchor Hakem Dermish. The Home Run Derby presented by the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain will start at 6:00 PM and have three teams - six sluggers each from the East and West All-Stars, and then a third six-member squad comprised of local Media, First Responders, and high school contestants. Just prior to the Derby slugfest - starting at 4:30 PM - all 48 Eastern League All-Stars will be seated at tables along the stadium's first base/right field line ready for a 2013 All-Star Meet & Greet and Autograph Session Done Fast, Done Right With Mopar Express Lane for fans of all ages. This special opportunity for fans will last one hour, with New Britain Stadium gates opening at 4:00 PM that afternoon; this will be great fun!
