Doubledays Drop Game 2 of Tri-City Series 9-3
The Doubledays had 12 hits, but could only muster three runs at Tri-City Thursday night.

TROY, NY - The Doubledays had 12 hits, but could only muster three runs in a 9-3 loss at Tri-City tonight.

The Doubledays (10-19) fell behind early 5-0 to the ValleyCats (21-10) after the first two innings. Auburn cut it to 5-2 in the top of the sixth when Jimmy Yezzo scored on an error by Tri-City. The ValleyCats then scored two runs in the bottom of the inning and went on to win 9-3.

Each team finished with double digits hits. The Doubledays finished with 12, one off of their season high 13, while Tri-City had a season high 18 hits. Yezzo finished the night 2-4 with a double, RBI and run scored.

The Doubledays try to win their first road series tomorrow night at Bruno Stadium. RC Orlan gets the nod for the Doubledays. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00.
