Giancarlo Stanton is about to get some talented company in the Miami Marlins outfield.

The team announced Monday night that it was calling its top two prospects -- Christian Yelich and Jake Marisnick -- to the Major League team. In corresponding moves, the team sent Derek Dietrich and Marcell Ozuna to Double-A Jacksonville.

Both Yelich and Marisnick have been plying their trades in Jacksonville. Yelich, the team's top prospect, is ranked 10th on's Top 100 prospect list, and he was hitting .280 with an .883 OPS in 49 games with the Suns.

Yelich represented the Marlins at the Futures Game in New York and started as the U.S. team's designated hitter. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI.

The outfielder has split time between center field and the corners with Jacksonville, playing 27 games in the middle, 21 games in left and one game in right. Yelich played left field on Monday for the Suns, going 1-for-2 before being lifted for a pinch-runner.

Marisnick handled center-field duties Monday and he went 0-for-1 before also being lifted for a pinch-hitter. The team's No. 2 prospect, baseball's No. 56 overall, is hitting .295 with an .861 OPS for the Suns this summer.

Miami acquired the native of Tampa, Fla., from Toronto in the offseason along with Yunel Escobar, Adeiny Hechavarria, Henderson Alvarez, Anthony DeSclafani and Justin Nicolino in exchange for Mark Buehrle, Josh Johnson, Jose Reyes, John Buck and Emilio Bonifacio.

"I'm excited for Yelich and Marisnick," Miami manager Mike Redmond told "These are two guys who definitely are going to improve our defense in the outfield. Jake plays a great center field, and Yelich too. I think those guys will bring excitement and hopefully another boost of energy to this team and this lineup."
