Twins' No. 2 prospect smacks walk-off two-run double

Miguel Sano delivered a walk-off two-RBI double that gave New Britain a 5-4 win over Akron in 12 innings on Tuesday.

The Twins' No. 2 prospect extended his hitting streak to eight games with his two-hit game. Over that time, he's batting .414 (12-for-29) with 14 RBIs for the Rock Cats. Seven of his hits have gone for extra bases during the run.

Twins' No. 6 prospect Eddie Rosario was 2-for-6 with a run scored and Daniel Ortiz plated a pair of runs. Dakota Watts gave up a run on three hits over an inning of relief to earn his first win.

Matt Lawson temporarily put the Aeros ahead with an RBI triple in the top half of the 12th.

Sebastian Valle homered, tripled and drove in five runs as Reading routed Erie, 11-5.

Albert Cartwright was 3-for-5 with two runs scored out of the leadoff spot and Jim Murphy reached base three times, plated two runs and scored twice for the Fightin Phils. Phillies' No. 2 prospect Maikel Franco scored twice.

Wade Gaynor slugged a two-run homer for the SeaWolves.

Led by a pair of rehabbing Major Leaguers, Trenton routed Harrisburg, 11-3.

Curtis Granderson tripled in three at-bats for the Thunder, while David Phelps struck out six and allowed a run on three hits over four innings. Shane Greene earned his fourth win, giving up two runs on five hits and fanning five over five innings. Kyle Roller homered and plated five runs to pace the offense.

Justin Bloxom was 3-for-4 with a homer and fell a triple shy of the cycle for the Senators.

Brett Nicholas was 4-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored as Frisco beat Midland, 11-6.

Odubel Herrera was 3-for-5 with a triple and drove in two runs while Ryan Strausborger reached base three times and scored three runs. Nick McBryde improved to 2-7 after allowing two runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings for the RoughRiders.

Ryan Lipkin homered and drove in four runs for the RockHounds.

Mariners' No. 12 prospect Julio Morban tripled twice, plated two runs and scored twice to pace Jackson to a 5-1 win over Huntsville.

Ji-Man Choi had two RBIs and Chris Taylor scored twice out of the leadoff spot. Anthony Fernandez earned his seventh win, allowing an unearned run on five hits and struck out four over 7 2/3 innings for the Generals. Dominic Leone fanned three over 1 1/3 innings of relief to earn his second save.

Taylor Jungmann, the Brewers' No. 2 prospect, fell to 9-7 after allowing five runs -- three earned -- on five hits while fanning seven over 7 1/3 innings for Huntsville.
